Over the last few years, numerous companies have been trying to disrupt the high value segment of residential real estate. To date, key disruption has appeared in the shape of new digital solutions with a better customer interface and stronger online marketing capabilities to broaden the customer reach.
Having said this, the true disruptor on this segment will be derived from the use of advanced data. The only element that is preventing the industry from a total disruption has been the asymmetric nature of the information today.
If we think of the different segments in real estate (i.e. residential, commercial, industrial, office, etc.), each segment possesses a different data ownership composition and level of sophistication. The first segment to be disrupted will be the residential one.
